About this app
Chitchat turns spoken thoughts into text you can use. Start a dictation, speak, then stop. The app transcribes the saved audio, tidies the sentences and puts the finished text on the clipboard when it is safe to do so.
Meetings have their own history. Start recording manually, then return to the original recording, transcript and cleaned text afterwards. Search your history or browse it by day.

Privacy
On-device transcription and cleanup.
The current build uses Apple's on-device speech and language models. If you enable iCloud library, recordings and transcripts are also stored in your private iCloud database. There is no advertising or tracking in the app.
Chitchat is not yet available on the App Store. The current build requires macOS 26, iOS 26 or iPadOS 26 or later. Cleanup needs a supported device with Apple Intelligence enabled and its model ready; speech support also depends on language and installed models. Automatic meeting detection is not enabled. Features may change before release.
