Effective 27 August 2026
Privacy Policy
No data collected from the app. No account, advertising, analytics or tracking. Your categories and time history stay on your device.
Who is responsible
Matthew Bilella, trading as Bilella Works in the United Kingdom, is responsible for personal information described in this policy. This is the data controller for support messages and information processed through this website. Contact bilellaworks@gmail.com.
What this policy covers
This policy covers the current Hours Later app build, its extensions, its support service and this privacy page.
Data collected from the app
None. The current build does not require an account and does not send personal information, time history, diagnostics or identifiers to Bilella Works or a Bilella Works server.
Information stored on your device
The app stores activity categories, time entries and preferences locally on your device. A limited current-tracking snapshot is shared locally with the app's widget, controls and Live Activity through an Apple App Group. Bilella Works cannot see or retrieve this information.
Notifications and system features
If you enable reminders, the app asks iOS for notification permission and schedules notifications locally on your device. Live Activities, widgets, controls, Shortcuts and Siri are provided through Apple system services. Your time history is not sent to Bilella Works when you use them.
Exports and backups
You can choose to export time records as CSV or create and import a JSON backup. The app accesses those files only when you start the export or import. The place you choose to save or share a file may have its own privacy terms.
Deleting information from the app
Use Settings > Data & Privacy > Delete all time history to remove time records from the app. Deleting the app removes its remaining local data from the device, subject to Apple's device and backup behaviour. There is no Bilella Works account or server copy to delete.
Advertising, analytics and tracking
The current build contains no advertising, tracking technology, crash-reporting SDK or third-party analytics SDK. It does not sell or share app-user data.
If you contact support
Support is optional. If you email support, Bilella Works receives your email address, any name shown by your email service, your message and any device, operating-system or app details you choose to include. The app does not attach your time history to an email. Support information is connected to app data only if you choose to include that data yourself.
We use this information to answer your request, investigate faults, protect the app and its users, and meet legal obligations. If you do not provide an email address and enough information about the issue, we may not be able to reply or investigate it.
Our lawful bases
We use legitimate interests to answer support requests, fix faults and protect the security of the app and service. Those interests are providing effective support and maintaining a safe, reliable product. We use legal obligation where information must be kept or disclosed to comply with the law. We do not use support information for advertising or marketing.
How long support information is kept
Normal support correspondence is deleted from the support mailbox within 12 months after the last contact. We may keep relevant information for longer while a security incident, complaint, legal claim or legal obligation remains active. It is deleted when that reason ends. Provider backups may take a short additional period to expire under the provider's retention process.
Service providers and disclosures
The app itself does not share app data with any third party. Optional support email is handled using Gmail by Google. This website is delivered and protected using Cloudflare. Google and Cloudflare may process limited personal information needed to provide those services under their own privacy terms and security measures.
We may disclose information to professional advisers or public authorities only when reasonably necessary to establish or defend legal rights, prevent harm, or comply with the law. We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising.
Read the Google Privacy Policy and Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
This website
Bilella Works does not use visitor accounts, advertising, marketing pixels or visitor analytics on this website. When you visit, Cloudflare necessarily receives technical request information such as your IP address, requested page, browser headers, time of request and security signals so it can deliver and protect the site. Bilella Works does not combine this information with app data or use it to profile visitors.
The lawful basis for this processing is legitimate interests in operating a secure and reliable website. Cloudflare controls its own retention of network and security records under its terms and privacy policy.
International processing
Google and Cloudflare operate internationally, so support or website information may be processed outside the United Kingdom. Where UK law treats a transfer as restricted, we use an applicable UK adequacy regulation or another safeguard permitted by UK data protection law.
Your privacy rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Email bilellaworks@gmail.com to make a request. We may ask for enough information to verify your identity. These rights apply to support or website information held by Bilella Works. Bilella Works cannot access time history stored only on your device.
You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office. Visit the ICO complaint page for current contact options.
Automated decisions
Bilella Works does not use personal information for automated decisions or profiling that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
Apple services
Apple separately governs information it processes for the App Store, operating-system services, notifications, Siri and device backups. Read Apple's Privacy Policy for details.
Changes to this policy
If an app update or support service changes how information is handled, this policy will be updated before that change is released. The effective date at the top shows when this policy was last changed.
